Rocky is alive - he did not drown
My brother Rocky Mizell lives in CB. He has worked at Seaside Lumber for 15+ years and is known to a lot of the residents. He evacuated to Liberty before the storm and then up to the Dallas area with our parents after the storm.
On Saturday Rocky and our dad went to High Island to enter the peninsula. As they were pulling up to the first check point the officer looked in the window and was shocked to see my brother. He received the same reaction from the next officer. Apparently there was a rumor going around that he had drowned in the storm.
For those who know Rocky this is understandable because he is the type of person who would have stayed behind to help his neighbors. It was also his caring that enabled him to evacuate on Thurs. afternoon. He chose take an older friend of his out before the water started rising so she would not be stuck on the peninsula and therefore was out early enough to miss the surge.
For all of Rocky's friends out there - He is alive and He will be back! In fact, Seaside Lumber has asked him to start back to work soon. He is working out the logistics of how to do this.
Thank you all for caring for my brother!

I do not know your brother, but I'm willing to bet we all will know him soon if he is working at one of the lumber yards!! Best to you and your family.
